Jazmyn Martin
I grew up in a loving Christian home. My parents divorced in 2014-2015. My parents are very involved in my life; they just didn’t get along. A year before that, my aunt passed away from cancer, and about three-four years later, my grandpa and aunt also passed away from cancer. I stay at my dad’s every other weekend. I also see him on Thursdays. My mom married my step-dad, Brian, and had my twin brothers at the end of 2021. Two babies were difficult, so I babysat for my step-dad so he could sleep from 3:30-5:30 (he works nights). I’m constantly with my family and wouldn’t have my life any other way!
My name is Jazmyn Martin, I currently attend the Richmond Area Career Center Fire/EMS program and Randolph Southern Jr/Sr High School. This class has helped me with my leadership and communication skills drastically. I would do it over again in a heartbeat. Outside of school, I enjoy being outside with my animals and friends. I am so excited to be a part of this journey and support my peers!

My name is Temitope Samuel Olaosebikan. I was born in Nigeria, but I soon migrated to the United States. I am the first kid my parents had, and I have 3 other siblings behind me. I went to Westlake Elementary, then Chapel Hill Middle School, and now I go to Ben Davis High School. I grew up in Wayne Township. I learned about other cultures and food, languages, etc. I love football, soccer, golf, and anything I know I might be able to beat you in. I love food and trying out new things, and I love when I can be myself. School gave me a lot of opportunities; I wasn't always the brightest kid, but I tried to be the best I could in and out of class. After joining the automotive program in Area 31, I was able to learn real-world skills. I am also a Christian. This year has brought me closer to God. I had Rhabdomyolysis, which is a problem with your kidneys. It is life-threatening, and something that can cause a lot of trouble for the body. My family and I have been praying, and I've been taking better care of myself and my health, which also made me realize how much I love engineering. I couldn't do much, not even play sports. So, I started watching a mechanic friend of mine work on cars, and I joined over the summer, which led me to meet my teacher, Mr. Camden, from Area 31 automotive service class. Since then, I have been getting much better and continuing my education both in school and in the shop. I plan on either working on cars or building them, but I also want to be able to travel around and help others as a mentor.
My name is Misael Rodriguez, and I'm proud to be the first in my Mexican-American family to participate in SkillsUSA. I was raised with a strong foundation of respect and manners; I've always strived to help others and set a positive example. I’m an ambassador for my career center. I help students learn about the importance of CTE. Though I wasn't an academic standout, I challenged myself to improve. Through hard work and determination, I'm now pursuing AP courses and constantly seeking growth opportunities in my education. I'm deeply grateful for the support of my family, friends, teachers, and God in shaping my journey. I’m enrolled as an Automotive Service Technology student at Area 31 Career Center. I'm continuously challenged to grow and open to new opportunities. I was awarded the Tech Rocks Award, Outstanding Student ACE Ford, and I have been noticed by Makers and Fixers SNAP-ON. My passion for learning grows beyond my current field as I've also explored courses in construction, engineering, and architecture.
My name is Zion Wilson. I am a senior at Lawrence Central High School/McKenzie Career Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. I enjoy hair and fashion, volleyball, and community involvement. I am a proud Girl Scout, where I have earned a bronze and silver award. My future plans are to have a career and life doing the things I enjoy.
